Review: Umberto Giannini Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask.

I'm getting back into doing my reviews of products as they always seem to go down well with you guys! Today I will be reviewing the Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask from Umberto Giannini. As you may have guessed I am a fan of Umberto Giannini products. I like mostly all of the products that I have tried with the exception of one or two. I find they are good value for money and do what they are meant to do!

Whenever my hair is feeling like it needs a bit of TLC, I always reach for some kind of hair mask. They can do wonders for your hair, and its a lot less expensive than going to the hair dressers to sort it out (although you should visit your hairdresser regularly every 6-8 weeks for a trim!) I do like to mix it up and try different brands but this is one hair mask that I have repurchased a few times.

You can get this mask from Boots and it costs a reasonable £5.61. There are always 3 for 2 or 2 for x amount deals on, so you should keep an eye out for them all the time and treat yourself to two of the same or two different products. This mask is best suited for dry, damaged or even processed hair through hair colouring. Its sole purpose is to replace the moisture in your hair that is lost from using the hairdryer or straighteners etc. It's not going to completely solve the problem but it is great for when you need to freshen up your locks and give them a bit of attention & a boost!

I have to say I do like the packaging of this mask, I know I don't normally comment on packaging but this time I am! Yes its a plain white tub with some writing on and a picture on the lid, but to me its very sleek and stylish looking. Like a high end conditioner you would purchase in a salon but for a much more affordable price!

The next thing I noticed with this mask is the scent. I'm not very good at describing smells but this does smell lovely. Some products can be really overpowering, and in the past that has put me off using them. Once I had such a strong scented shampoo/conditioner that I was actually nearly ill while in the shower using it because the smell was so strong! This however is very pleasant! :) The mask itself is thick in consistency as are most hair treatments of this kind. The mask is a pearly white colour, which matches perfectly to its packaging! It feels a bit 'bumpy' to touch, which I know sounds odd but if you have or are going to use it, you will know what i mean! but it does apply really well and evenly on your hair.

The mask is really easy to use, Obviously you shampoo as normal with whatever your choice of shampoo is. Then ring out any excess water and apply the mask to your hair from root to tip, but focusing more on your ends than your roots as this is where your hair is going to be most dry. The instructions on the tub say to leave it on for 3 minutes. But I try to leave it on longer, preferably 5. Then I know that it really has worked its way into my hair and it doing its job! This is easy to do if washing your hair is the first thing you do in the shower as then you can do all the other usual rituals before it comes to washing the mask off. After the time has lapsed, you just wash off the mask (At this point you can already feel a difference in your hair, Mine personally feels alot sleeker and easier to manage, and definitely moisturised) Finally follow with your usual conditioner routine.

I tend to leave my hair to dry naturally after I have used a mask. It just seems silly that I have used a mask to restore moisture and fix dryness and then go ahead and blast it with a load of hot air from the hairdryer! Once it is dried it feels so silky and smooth, I use a tangle teezer to brush through my hair anyway, but after using the mask the teezer literally just glides through my hair! It feels amazing! If you have split ends when you use the mask you can see a dramatic difference in them, although this is only a temporary fix and to really sort them you should book yourself in for a trim at your local hairdressers! I use this mask once a week as directed, my hair is fairly long and my tub will last me 1.5/2 months i would say, so its not bad at all!

Overall I think this product is fab. It's affordable, it's from a brand that often has special offers on so its good value for money. It makes my hair feel much more healthy and look loads better after using it. It smells yummy and does what it says it will do! I will (and have already) repurchase this mask and I recommend you to try it out if you're looking for a good conditioner to use on your hair once a week! :-)

I hope this has been helpful for you girlie's, looking forward to hearing what you think!

Much Love
